Based on Ephesians 6:11, “Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against
the wiles of the devil,” the author has written a wonderful fantasy
fiction novel – involving hope, encompassing the unseen war of supernatural
evil perpetrated upon unsuspecting souls upon Earth.
Intertwined with a Christian-faith based theme, this read offers
an engaging adventure that is geared towards young adults. The story takes place in Fountain Gorge, a
small city in the Northwest United States that is under siege from a portal of
evil that needs to be shut. Kaleb
James, at only 12 years old, is the chosen one within his family to break a
generational curse. This curse has
caused the death of five children within the same family. He and his cousin Kate set out to find the
precious hope – a jewel -that will stop the evil and reverse the curse that has
been cast on generation upon generation.
Fast-paced, exciting and beautifully illustrated, the book
is filled with adventure, faith and action from the beginning as the author
teaches to readers to find hope and trust in God no matter what as the team
overcomes what seems to be insurmountable mountains that stand in the way of
truth and justice. This is a classic
story of good versus evil, with good overpowering the evil through intriguing
characters, encoded prophecy, clues and journeys that will keep young adults and
pre-teens glued to what’s happening next.
A highly recommended fiction fantasy novel that will give young minds an
inspiring and faith-based read.
