tribute to God’s favor and blessings upon her life and family. Raised by a
single parent, the author gives a glimpse into her childhood that are
heartwarming and entertaining. She encourages others to rise above their
current circumstances if they have been abused or are in poverty by looking to
God to define and lead, meanwhile, advocating education as a vehicle to
independence. Her true-life story reveals God’s blessings and is an inspiring
read.
Lorraine’s life story reveals a
determination and tenacity that served her well through the 60’s as segregation
flared, and shares that through it all God was there. Her life also exhibits a
perseverance and hope that only can be obtained through hope in God. She
encourages readers to seek God, pray, work hard for an education and to know
that all things work together for good. She also reminds others to “always give
something back” and to “pay it forward” in their life journey and that God
blesses us, so that we can also bless others.
Readers and family (and extended family)
will enjoy this book as a legacy for their family and testament to keep
families together. The theme of God’s favor is prevalent throughout as the
author shares testimony of God’s favor in various ways, to include healing and
sovereign provision. Throughout her life the author has earned degrees and has
been awarded many awards, revealing that God is control and not to give up
despite difficult circumstances.
It’s a wonderful gift to learn about someone else’s life
and to learn from them. We can all learn from this lady’s wisdom and service
