This is a story of David Martin. David could easily have
“blended into the crowd,” as he was very average height and weight. Always clean-cut, David was about to
experience something not-so-average in this inspiring and endearing fictional
tale about prayer, destiny and faith in God with little twists and turns that
make Return to Paradise a homegrown read.
The book begins as David is about to head out on his
long-awaited vacation back to his alma mater, Washington University and St.
Louis, Missouri. A drive up to St. Louis would do him good. After that, he had
plans on visiting his parents for a week. This was his first time back home to
visit his college since he graduated. En-route to his destination, David
encounters a slight detour that involving an accident that kept him in a little
town called Spring River. There, he
meets a waitress named Sarah Nichols.
There was something special about Sarah. Upon his visit, he also finds
out that many of the local farmers are about to experience foreclosures due to
a man named Don Ashton and some local banks’ underhanded devices.
David sets out on a journey of prayer and faith and finds
something he never thought he would encounter, love and God’s will for his
life. A clear path to finding God’s will is something we may never consider in
our lives. Is it happenstance or
destiny? Come find out in this cozy
romance that God’s plans are always better than our own.
